Day 350: I’d Rather Let The GPS Predict The Future [Friday Thought W/ TeeCoZee]
Good Moleman. Top of the hour, time for the morning news. But of course, there is no news yet. Everyone’s still asleep in their comfy, comfy bread. Goodnight, everybody. It’s Friday, September 3rd, Twenty-Twenty-Une. The weather in Astoria is 60˚ & Pantone 7667C and somewhere, somebody is having a wonderful dream. But they don’t know it’s a dream. They just think that life is wonderful. Which it actually is, but the real world is too chaotic for them to realize it. Once they wake up, will they ever feel this sense of wonderment again? Will this dream give them a fresh outlook? Why is their boss wearing a fishbowl on his head? Little do they know, they’re clairvoyant and this all will soon take place at a trip to the aquarium. And me? I used to think I was clairvoyant, but not so much in my dreams. I would just get high and have a bad feeling. I also have a thing on my mind.
– Today is a very important day. Those who know, know the weight of it. I woke up super early to go to a place that’s 70 miles away. All week, every time I checked the GPS, it told me that it typically took around an hour and 50 minutes to get there. So I woke up early enough to give myself 3 hours. Lo and behold, I’m wide awake on the first alarm and the GPS tells me that I’ll get there…in just a shade over an hour. So, now I’m stuck in an awkward situation. Do I just leave right away and then spend 2 hours wandering around as a stranger in a strange land? Or do I cut the difference and give myself 2 hours to get there? Well, I guess I already made up my mind by writing this thought. I’ll give myself a little more than 2 hours to get there and hope that the GPS is more good at telling the future than me. Godspeed. Wish me luck.
Try this trick over the weekend: Bet on yourself.
Have a good weekend, everybody!
